| Perfect Pizza Dough |
Ingredients
1 package or 2 1/4 tsp. Dry Yeast
1/4 cup warm water
2 Tbsp. olive oil
1 Tbsp. honey, not sugar
1 tsp. salt
3 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup cool or tepid (lukewarm) water
Cooking Instructions
Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water and set aside to proof for
about 5 minutes.
Meanwhile, combine honey, olive oil, salt and cool water in a
small bowl or measuring cup. Take flour and put on a work
surface and make a hole or well in the center and pour
honey/water mixture in the center of the flour well. Drag some of the flour over the wet mixture, then add the yeast and slowly mix all ingredients. Then knead until a satiny dough is achieved.
Or: Put all ingredients, in a strong mixer, making sure the flour is on top of wet honey/water mixture. Then put the yeast mixture on top of the flour and turn on your mixer, and let it do the work for you. Let it knead the dough for about 15 minutes on the slowest speed.
This dough makes a really nice small loaf of Pizza Dough Bread
and Bread Sticks, too.
